The Timberline trail from McNeil point to Timberline lodge is closed, there is a forest fire in the Tilly Jane area. When we where hiking the Timberline trail, we could see smoke near the Three Sisters area south of Mt hood, that fire threatened the little town of Sisters.
This past week we went on an overnight trip to the coast, my wife was able to reserve a yurt at the state park for our overnight stay. Our first day included a visit to the Tillamook cheese factory, a walk on the beach and smores
We also visited another light house (Cape Meares), we have two light houses left, one on each end of the state.
The next day we did a 5 mile hike to Harts cave, we all got a good work out on that one. The girls spent the afternoon at an outlet mall in Lincoln City, I was just a tag along as outlet malls are so boring.
