Happy New Year
I hope this next year is better than this one and that this one was good for everyone. I was out of state for the past 11 days visiting in-laws for Christmas in Ohio. It was COLD and SNOWY. One evening it got as cold at 5 below and they had the biggest snow recorded for the month of December. It made for a very white Christmas.
I realized how much time I spend (waste) online. I never went online while I was away and only did one project on a computer while out. DW and I made a cover for a family recipe book for my Mother in-law. I made it a point to get away and do more stuff around the house today and to some extent that has worked.
We were able to do some "winter" activities this year with the snow. I got to go hiking in the snow covered hills around Cleveland, sledding with all the nieces and nephews, Ice skating and just sit and watch the snow fall.
It is always a nice diversion to get away and this was no exception. The air flight was good, no unwarrented search's that used to be more routine. We did get to fly around Chicago for an extra hour due to fog, but that wasn't much of a problem.
My In-laws were showing there age, they gave us our photos back that we have been sending them over the years along with other selected family photos from there youth. It is kind of wierd when you see them planning on leaving the world by simplifying there lives.
