It was rhondy time for us this past week end, but more on that later. On our way home we made a couple stops in the central Oregon region near the rhondy site. One site was "Big hole", to me it looks like a meteor crater, but scientist think it is a maar volcano. One reason for there conclusions was the lack of metal fragments usually found around a meteor crater. In either case it is a spectacular site. Be cautioned that the roads are rough and high clearance vehicles are recommended by me. We also saw some antelope while in this area.
