Trails 2005
The years seem to go so fast these days, the summer months to short. Looking back this year, I have been blessed with so much. Although I would have like to logged more trips this past summer, the ones we did were very memorable. This past summer had a lot of 'to do's" such as getting the girls fitted with braces. That required numerous appointments for consults, molds and photos, more consulting, teeth pulled, spacers, one set of braces and brackets, then the next set. One of my daughters kept losing a spacer, so that required extra trips.
We realized it was imperitive to get going with braces on our 16 year old, or she would be going off to college with them on. That wouldn't work to good, especially since the chance of her going out of state for college is high.
To reminisce this past summer, I wanted to post some trail scene from this past year. The collection of photos and memories are collecting up and on days like today where we are experiencing freezing rain, revisiting those trips is enjoyable. When the cold snap finally moves on we sometimes get snow and/or freezing rain during the transistion. It wasn't to bad here, but up north it snowed and they expect to get some freezing rain on top of that tonight. Already many schools, events, and companies have decided to not open tomorrow (Monday).
I am hoping the warm front coming in will just scour out the cold in our area and leave the roads wet in the morning so no one has to drive in icy conditions. Up north, they have less chance due to cold air traveling down the Columbia Gorge into the metro area, keeping it colder. Rignt now the side walks here are icy and slick.

I love those trail pictures. Beautifully taken and inspiring. And I want a black kitty just like the one bellow.
