Suffering from nothing new on the plate
It seems I am not getting out enough, I don't have much new to report. I have my routines, but beyond that, i am suffering from nothing new on the plate. The "master gardening" class has started and though I enjoy it, I have to do some volunteering time afterwards to compensate for the class fees when I am done, I am hoping it will be fun, but my brain is not the sponge it once was. Part of the time will be answering garden questions at the county extension agency. The classes run for elevin weeks, 8:30-3:45 on Mondays, even so, I don't think we are learning enough material to qualify for "master". We spent several hours on taxonomy and I know we could have spent the whole 11 weeks on it alone before I was comfortable on saying we mastered plant taxonomy alone.

I think of "master gardener" as like "master electrician" or "master plumber." You know everything you need to know about growing plants (or wiring, or plumbing) but not everything one can know about plants or physics or civil engineering.
You will know everything you need to know to be able to grow beautiful gardens, and to help others grow beautiful gardens. Sounds good to me!
